YSAC Memo: Don't use my email address to harass people, please

Just got a pissed-off email from a Kijiji advertiser who apparently got a catty note from someone using my email address. Not cool, gang, not cool. If you see someone with a sucky ad, send it to me, don't use my name in vain to pick on people. That's not how I roll. If I'm going to send someone a note directly, I do it on my terms with my own approach, keeping in mind I have my own reputation to craft.

I appreciate the sentiment, and the ad this wanna-be-me person blasted was absolutely a candidate for inclusion here, but it's not in line with the principles and philosophy of this blog to hassle people privately for their shortcomings. Here, we talk about people right in front of people. It's still petty and annoying, but at least it's honest that way.

So, here's the ad in question. And my apologies go out to this advertiser for the trouble caused by whomever took it upon him or herself to impersonate me. But he or she is right -- you need to learn how to spell.

i ahve a 1994 mazda mx6 for sale or trade.the car needs to be painted and thats it.safetyed for 2years.has new rear calibers.stero and dvd player.will sell for 6500obo or trade for a old car,truck, possibly a old jeep.car has 320000km but the motor was swaped in it so i don't km's are on it.

And just for good measure, he has a duplicate version of the ad. A definite Kijiji no-no which could get him disciplined, but the spelling here is also hilarious, so, in fairness:
