PSA: Get paid to talk about your vaginal pain

Saw this ad and thought ... okay, not a fail. Someone may actually benefit from this. So, for the first time, an off-topic public service announcement.

NOTE: Despite the pictures, they are NOT talking about the pain of holding hands when wearing alternating gray-and-white clothing in the spring. Despite what your parents may have told you, that is NOT what is referred to.

Research study: Do you suffer from PAINFUL SEXUAL intercourse?
WE ARE SEEKING WOMEN (AGED 18-45) WHO SUFFER FROM PAINFUL VAGINAL INTERCOURSE and their PARTNERS (aged 18 or older) to participate in a research study investigating the role of relationships in vulvo-vaginal pain.
• Couples must be co-habitating for at least 6 months
• Couples much have daily Internet access
• Other eligibility crieteria may apply

Women will undergo a gynaecologic exam and both members of the couple will complete questionnaires at a session at the IWK Health Centre (Halifax, NS) as well as brief, web-based questionnaires at home daily for 2 months (10-30 minutes depending on whether sexual activity occurred in preceding 24 hours).

Participants will be compensated $116 each ($232 per couple) and will receive valuable information about their pain condition. This research is being conducted in collaboration with the IWK Health Centre and the University of Montreal.
