YSAK 487: Closed-captioning for adult movies

Really. Adding closed-captioning to porn? It seems as though you could establish a cut and paste template to embellish the "oohs" and "ahhs" and assorted moans, slaps, grunts and slurps. I don't mean to demean this profession -- the ad is very competently written -- but it strikes me as amusing.

POSITION: Adult Programming Screener/ Closed Captioner

Full-time position available. Must be able to work Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00

Department: Programming
Reports to: Programming Manager
Location: Ottawa, ON

Summary: Duties include screening and closed captioning adult content and completing detailed reports to be used in the acquisition decision-making process. Some Excel and Microsoft Word skills needed. The job may entail encoding adult content as well if the candidate is qualified.

Candidates must be able to follow screening guidelines and make detailed reports on content screened. Candidates must also be able to work quickly after being trained in a closed caption environment.

Knowledge of the adult industry and having the ability to think independently is a definite asset. All applicants must be punctual, dependable, and have their own transportation.

Full-time position available. Pay TBD with a performance review after three months.
