J'aime toujours les clever funny Kijiji ads en Franglais (589)

Pardon my French, but what the phoque does this say? I took 13 years of French classes, and can't quite penetrate this lingo, aside from being able to see that it's kind of funny. Is this an Acadian thing?

mon essai:

Sick of drying your old clothes in the dryer? I've got something (cheque=quelque)for you. Last week, I dug up this huge, intense metal rod in my back yard with the 96 chevy belonging to Yve from the pizza place on the corner (Memramcook), and a crank and a couple of straps.

Anyways, my wife's been on my case for a couple of days, telling me to get rid of this big ol' metal rod. If you buy a clothesline and need a metal post, I have it. LET ME TELL YOU that there's nothing better than having your old clothes, your boxers, socks, or even your old Polaris suit smell like wood, low tide,or even freshly sprayed manure. It's better than your Grandma's Tide.

I'm anglophone, so take my translation with a grain of salt, but I'm pretty sure I've got most of this right,,.perhaps a native Chiac speaker can confirm. :-) And yes, this is ridiclously Acadian...and amazing.

There's nothing wrong with buying items from people on kijiji, using PayPal to pay for it, and shipping via Canada Post to get it to you. At some point we all can't live around the corner from some small town in Canada, really. As long as the seller lists it honestly, and you pay honestly, there's nothing wrong with PayPal. PayPal projects both parties and Canada Post ships insured and tracked. But never use western union or a bank email money transfer to pay for your item unless you really know the person as there's no fraud protection at all. There will always be scammers, but they are too early discovered.

You nailed it. I'm Acadian. I can confirm this translation as correct. Though i do speak primarily English now, having grown up in bc and now living in ottawa

I visit it periodically for my own amusement and also when I want to explain to people how we talk back home
