Official Kijiji Android app finally released
Do you like this story?
On the same day that Kijiji.ca released v3.0 of its iPhone app, we can tell you that v1.0 of the free Android Kijiji app is now available.
Download free Kijiji.ca for Android app at Google Play.
How big a deal is this? Well, I can tell you that my logs have shown for months that this is an in-demand item. Twitter says so, too.Now that it's out, what's in it?
Of course, you can post ads from within the app and add pictures from the Android device -- phone, tablet, whatever.
All Kijiji categories are available and you'll be able to search. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the search algorithm - people have complained long and loud about the Kijiji.ca search function, and I don't know if the Android app uses the same search.
You can reply to Kijiji ads within the app. No need to send a separate email, which is a no-brainer.
A watchlist is available to track favourite ads.
A sharing function is included, so you can send bad and funny ads right here to YouSuckatKijiji.com.
Is it good? I don't know. I have a Blackberry. But, it's v1.0, so expect bugs. That's not a slight against Kijiji's developers -- v1.0 of anything tends to have bugs. If you find something broken, drop a note via official Kijiji channels and I'm sure they'll get to work on it right away.
If you've been using any other Android app for Kijiji, stop now. Go get the official one made by Kijiji for Kijiji.
And once you've given it a test-drive, come back and leave a review!
Big thanks to @JoHages on Twitter for the heads-up about this official app release!
